Today we look at three more phrases that you can use when watching European football, and some other sports too.

Today's three phrases are: 
⇒ That was a textbook tackle. (To praise a well-executed defensive move.)
⇒ The striker slotted it into the corner beautifully. (To describe a skilful goal-scoring manoeuvre to the corner of the goal.)
⇒ The match is heating up! (To highlight increased intensity and competition.)

And following is a possible short dialogue using these three phrases.
Dialogue
David: Wow, did you see that tackle just now?
Xavier: Yeah, that was a textbook tackle! Perfect timing, clean execution.
David: And look at that, the striker slotted it into the corner beautifully!
Xavier: What a goal! The precision on that shot was incredible.
David: The match is heating up! Both teams are playing with such intensity.
Xavier: Definitely! It's anyone's game at this point. The tension is palpable.
