THEME THURSDAY: EXPRESSIONS FOR BEING IN TROUBLE (TO BE IN OVER YOUR HEAD): meaning and examples

It's almost the end of the week, readers! How are you feeling? Do you have a lot of work to do? Maybe you have a lot to do, and little time. If so, you can use today's Theme Thursday expression for being in trouble: TO BE IN OVER YOUR HEAD

Definition: to be involved in a difficult situation that you can't easily fix.

Example 1: I have to plan my flatmate's birthday party, write a paper, complete a project, and work for four hours. I am in over my head!

Example 2: I started a new job, but I don't understand how to do a lot of the work. I think I'm in over my head

Example 3: I tried to pay off all my credit card debt, but I don't have enough money; I think I'm in over my head

Hopefully you are in not in over your head today, but if you are, just remember that tomorrow is Friday!

See you then for another lesson about the phrasal verb COME ROUND.
