THEME THURSDAY: EXPRESSIONS FOR INTEREST (TO BE KEEN ON)
THEME THURSDAY: EXPRESSIONS FOR INTEREST (TO BE KEEN ON): meaning and examples
This month we are looking at ways to express interest in something. Students often get tired of saying "I like" or "I enjoy," so we hope that Thursday's lessons in October will provide you with some new vocabulary.
Today we look at the expression TO BE KEEN ON SOMETHING/SOMEONE.
Meaning: used to talk about someone's interest in an activity that they enjoy a lot.
Example 1: I am keen on football.
Example 2: My mother is keen on cooking, which is a great thing for us kids!
Example 3: I have always been keen on music from the 50s.
