Today's word is FRENEMY. It is the combination of the words FRIEND and ENEMY.
Definition: someone who you pretend is your friend, but they are not.
Example 1: I actually really dislike my flatmate. I'd say we are frenemies.
Example 2: John and I are not close. In fact, I consider him to be a frenemy.
I hope you don't have any FRENEMIES, but if you do, you now have a word to describe them. Sometimes, we have to be nice to people that we do not particularly like.
