THEME THURSDAY: WORDS FOR BUSY ('SLAMMED'): meaning and examples
This month we are looking at Words to Describe Being Busy. We begin with the colloquial use of the word SLAMMED. We use the expression TO BE SLAMMED (at work).
Definition: to be very busy; to have many responsibilities.
Example 1: We are always slammed at the office at the end of the month because we have to finish reports.
Example 2: I was so slammed at work today. My co-worker was sick and I had to complete both of our assignments!
