Meaning: An onomatopoeia that represents the sound that a clock makes.
Example 1: He was having problems sleeping, and the tick-tock of his alarm clock was making it even harder to sleep.
Example 2: After I changed the batteries in the clock, I put it close to my ear and could hear the tick-tock sound again, which assured me that it was working again.
