TO BE CRAZY ABOUT / TO LOATHE: LIKES &: meaning and examples

Hello again Daily Vitamin readers. Welcome back to another lesson.

Today is our third lesson about words and expressions we use to express likes and dislikes. I've tried to include words and expressions that are a bit less common, so you can expand your vocabulary.

Today's 1st expression is: to be crazy about

Meaning: to be very interested in something or to love someone very much.

Example 1: He is absolutely crazy about his wife.

Example 2: My son is crazy about football.

Today's 2nd expression is: Loathe

Meaning: to feel intense dislike or disgust for someone or something.

Example 3: From the time they were children, the two sisters loathed each other.

Example 4: Sandy loathes fish. She never eats any kind of seafood.

To get some practice, I encourage you to write your own original sentence with one or both of these words. You can post your sentences on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X) and we will give you feedback about them as soon as we can.

Have a great day!
