TO CHILL OUT: meaning and examples
Most of you have heard the word CHILL OUT as a noun to refer to an area or zone for relaxing in or to refer to a type of ambient music. Today we're going to look at the verb form.
Today's expression is: TO CHILL OUT
It means: To relax (informal)
Example 1:
Rochelle: Oh no! I forgot to send you those documents! It completely slipped my mind. I'll do it right away, I promise!
Matthias: Chill out, Rochelle. You can send them to me later on.
Example 2:
I can't wait until summer. I'm just going to chill out on my terrace, reading books, grilling food and drinking beer.
