Today's expression is: to fall apart
Meaning 1: to be in a very bad condition so that parts are breaking off (referring to machinery).
Example 1:
His car is so old that it is falling apart.
Meaning 2: to refer to a situation that has so many problems that it is no longer possible to maintain it.
Example 2:
After more than 40 years, their marriage finally fell apart.
Example 3:
The deal between the two corporations fell apart when the two parties failed to agree on a price.
