TO FEEL BLUE: meaning and examples

Today we look at a common English idiom with the colour blue in it.
Today's English Idiom is: TO FEEL BLUE
Meaning: to feel sad, melancholy or depressed.
Example 1: He has been feeling very blue since his wife left him.
Example 2: When Jack didn't get the job, he felt quite blue during the weekend. However, he feels much better now.
