Meaning: to anticipate a future event with feelings of excitement or pleasure
Example 1:
I am really looking forward to my sister's visit. I haven't seen her in three years!
Example 2:
Claire: Are you looking forward to going to Egypt? You've been planning this holiday for ages!
Bradley: Oh yes! I have such a great interest in ancient Egyptian culture that this trip is like a dream come true. I can't wait to see the pyramids and the Sphinx in person!
