TO MAKE-1: meaning and examples

For the next few lessons, we are going to concentrate on a very high-frequency word in English: the verb to make.
As you know, the most common meaning of make is to create or produce.
Example 1:
This furniture is made of quality products; it was made in Spain.
Example 2:
Hollywood is going to make a movie about his life.
But make is also used in many different ways and in dozens of phrases: make a decision, make an effort, make progress, make a mistake, etc. Over the next few days, we will review some of the different uses of this very-useful verb.
