Meaning: when a person delays making a decision in order to maintain neutrality; lack of decisiveness to choose between two sides in an argument or a competition, or the inability to decide due to lack of courage.
Example 1: You can't sit on the fence any longer, Pablo. You have to decide who you are going to appoint as the new director of marketing. Is it going to be Alice or Natalia?
Example 2: The thing I love about the new director of marketing is that she's not afraid of making decisions and she is a woman who never sits on the fence.
