TO TALK SHOP

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin.

Today we continue our look at expressions with the word SHOP in them. 

This week's second shop phrase is: to talk shop

Meaning: to talk about your job with those you work with when you're not at work.

Example 1: Come on you two; stop talking shop! This is a party, not a business meeting. Relax and enjoy yourselves. And stop talking about work!

Example 2:
Dan: Where is Sarah?
Julie: She's sitting at the table with Eric and Pamela talking shop. They never disconnect from work.
