TONGUE TWISTERS-1
TONGUE TWISTERS-1: meaning and examples
Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you had an excellent weekend and that your week has started off well.
This week I am going to present you with five popular tongue twisters in English. Tongue twisters are sentences or phrases that are intended to be difficult to say, especially when repeated quickly and often. The meaning of them is not so important; it's the difficulty of saying them that is important.
Today's tongue twister is: She sells seashells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells.
For this week's Daily Vitamins, it's not necessary to give you examples. The tongue twister is the example. However, repeating these tongue twisters can be a good way for you to improve your pronunciation. If you listen to the sound file of this lesson, you can hear me attempting to pronounce this tongue twister three times.
1) She sells seashells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells.
2) She sells seashells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells.
3) She sells seashells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells.
Now you try it. If you are really brave, you can record yourself saying this phrase as fast as you can three times, and then send the audio file to Ziggurat's WhatsApp account ( 34 652 387 880). Whether you send us a sound file or not, please try to have some fun with this. :-)
Enjoy the rest of your day.
All the best!
