Today we are continuing our verbs-with-OUT theme and we are looking at the verb TO OUTRUN.
Definition 1: To run faster or longer than another person, animal or thing.
Example 1: My dog is a greyhound. She can outrun any other dog.
Example 2: I could outrun all of the kids in my class when I was young.
Definition 2: To develop faster or further than something.
Example 3: Consumption is outrunning production: we can't make enough of our product to keep it on the market.
