VOCABULARY FOR EMOTIONS & FEELINGS (EL: meaning and examples

Happy Friday everyone! Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you have had a good week. And I also hope today is going well for you.

Today we look at our final two words / expressions related to emotions and feelings. First, a positive one, and then a negative one.

Today's positive-emotion word/expression isElated

Meaning: Very happy or joyful.

Example 1: The teachers were elated after hearing the news that the strike was over. 

Today's negative-emotion word/expression is: Furious

Meaning: Extremely angry.

Example 2: Alex was furious when he found out that someone had scratched his new car.
