VOCABULARY FOR INTERESTING PROFESSIONS: COBBLER: meaning and examples

This week we are doing something completely different. Our theme is Vocabulary for Interesting Professions. We have never done this before, so we hope you enjoy this unique theme.
We are beginning with the word: COBBLER.
Definition: A person who repairs shoes.
Example 1: I am taking my favourite shoes to the cobbler. The heel broke.
Example 2: Can you recommend a good cobbler? My boots need to be repaired.
The word COBBLER also means "a drink with sugar, lemon, and wine or sherry." Additionally, in North America, the word is used for a berry-based dessert (like a pie).
Do you take your shoes to a cobbler to have them repaired? It's a great way to save money, and it's good for the environment.
