Hello everyone. I hope you are having a great day. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin.

Today is our 4th lesson of the week with an expression related to talking about truth, or the lack of truth.

Today's expression is: The proof is in the pudding

Definition: we say this to mean that you can only judge the quality of something after you have tried, used, or experienced it.

Example 1:
Mom: Jack, can you please clean your room before you leave?
Jack: Mom, I'll do it when I get back... I promise.
Mom: Sorry Jack, the proof is in the pudding... I would prefer you do it now. The last three times you said you would do it later, it never happened.

Example 2: Is she the best of all time? The proof is in the pudding — I think her accomplishments speak for themselves.
