WEATHER (3)
WEATHER (3): meaning and examples
Good morning. Today we will finish our topic of weather with three expressions that we can use to describe different types of weather. EXPRESSION 1: freezing cold It means: extremely cold. Example 1: I spent last Christmas in Iceland. It was freezing cold, but I wore warm clothes and so the cold didn't bother me. EXPRESSION 2: blazing hot; boiling hot It means: extremely hot. Example 2: You're going to Morocco in August? Won't it be blazing hot? EXPRESSION 3: pouring rain It means: raining a lot. Example 3: It's just impossible to get a taxi when it's pouring rain! This week we've only been able to include a few suggestions to talk about the weather in English, but I hope you have found it helpful. Thanks to Jonatan for this excellent suggestion!
