WHY DON'T YOU...?

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a great day. 

Today we present two more phrases that we use to give advice. All of the phrases that we are looking at this week are more like suggestions, which is why I like them. They are not pushy... just suggestions or ideas for the other person to consider. 

Today's 1st advice phrase is: If I were you, I would...

Example 1:
Jack, I understand that it's not your dream job, but if I were you, I would take the job offer. You haven't worked in months; you need to start making money. 

Today's 2nd advice phrase is: Why don't you...?

Example 2: I have seen that you are very nervous and stressed. Why don't you try meditation? I started meditating about four years ago and it has helped me a lot. I'm much more calm and less stressed.
