WOMEN EMPOWERMENT-FOCUSED IDIOMS: FEMALE INTUITION

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you had a good weekend. 

Since tomorrow, March 8th, is International Women's Day, this week we are going to look at different words and expressions related to female empowerment. Some of this week's expressions are not all positive and may be about ideas and beliefs that women have been fighting to change.

Our first expression is: Female Intuition

Definition: Female intuition (or Feminine intuition) refers to a special power of insight possessed by women. While science shows that both genders possess the same amount of ability to tap into their subconscious, and therefore receive gut feelings, intuitive messages and perceptions, perhaps it's simply that women are more likely to develop and become aware of their intuition.

Example 1: Our director of Human Resources is excellent at hiring new employees. Thanks to her highly developoed female intuition, she seems to just know who the best candidates are.

Example 2: When the electricity went out while we were watching the film, my girlfriend's female intuition became active, and she sensed that her father was trapped in the lift. We left the movie theatre and ran home. Sure enough, her father was trapped in the lift. Amazing.
