Example 1: The Prime Minister won because of the youthquake of voters.
Example 2: Fast food industries are changing their menus because of the youthquake against unhealthy foods.
Why did Oxford Dictionary choose this word? According to the Word-of-the-Year 2017 page, there was a fivefold (5 times) increase in the use of YOUTHQUAKE in 2017, possibly because of the British media's use of the word during the 2017 UK general elections. You can read more at the following link:
