WORDY WEDNESDAY: 'AFFECT' VS. 'EFFECT' ( ZIG BLOG POST): meaning and examples

Hello, readers! For Wordy Wednesday we are looking at two words that we often confuse: AFFECT and EFFECT. Do you know the difference?

Affect is a verb.

Example 1: Pollution negatively affects our climate.

Example 2
: This new diet will affect you positively.

Effect
is a noun.

Example 3
: The effects of global warming are all around us.

Example 4
: The side effects of this medicine are headaches and low energy.

In a recent Ziggurat post in our blog called "The 4 Ways Sound Affects Us," we looked at the word AFFECT, and also looked at a TED video about our relationship with sound. You can read the article and watch the video at the following link.
