Definition: upset or sad (informal)
Example 1: My favourite restaurant is closed on my birthday. I'm bummed.

We can also use it as a phrasal verb. We use the form TO BUM (SOMEONE) OUT.
Example 3: That movie was so sad. It bummed me out.
