WORDY WEDNESDAY: IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES FOR COMPARATIVES
WORDY WEDNESDAY: IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES FOR COMPARATIVES: meaning and examples
Over the past few weeks we have looked at comparatives. Click here for the first lesson we did on this topic in January:
https://www.ziggurat.es/es/lecciones_ingles/index.asp?id=2491
In this lesson, we learned that we add ER to the end of an adjective to make a comparison.
Example 1: I am younger than you.
Today, we are looking at some irregular adjectives that do not follow this structure. Words like GOOD and BAD have irregular forms for comparatives.
For GOOD, we use the word BETTER to compare two things.
Example 2: This restaurant is better than the one we went to last week.
For BAD, we use the word WORSE.
Example 3: I am a worse chess player than my cousin.
That's all for today. Join us tomorrow for the first Theme Thursday of February. Until then, have a great day!
