WORDY WEDNESDAY: SMITTEN

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday to you!

Valentine's Day was last Saturday and to celebrate this month of love, today we are looking at a word often used in contexts of romance: SMITTEN. 

Definition: to be strongly attracted to someone.

Example 1: He is smitten by his new girlfriend. 

Example 2: My grandparents were smitten with each other the moment they met. 

Notice that we can use both SMITTEN WITH and SMITTEN BY.
