WORDY WEDNESDAY: TO BE DONE FOR: meaning and examples

Hello everyone! You might remember that April's Theme Thursday topic was expressions we use when we are in trouble. Click here for those lessons:

https://www.ziggurat.es/es/lecciones_ingles/index.asp?rs=EXPRESSIONS%20FOR%20BEING%20IN%20TROUBLE

Today we are adding one more: the expression TO BE DONE FOR

Definition: doomed to death or destruction.

Example 1: It's 5AM and I haven't begun my paper that's due at 9AM. I'm done for

Example 2: When the score was 0-5 and there were five minutes remaining in the game, we knew we were done for

Example 3: When the little bird fell out of the tree, I thought he was done for. But he flew away!

That's all for today. Enjoy your day everybody!
