WORK OUT / TURN IN (PHRASAL VERBS FOR : meaning and examples

Happy Thursday everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin! I hope your week is going well and I hope you are having a great day.

Today we include yet another lesson about daily routines with common English phrasal verbs.

Today's first phrasal verb for routines is: to work out

Meaning: to exercise.

Example: I work out at home almost every morning. When I used the gym, I wasn't very consistent. But since I have started working out at home, I'm very consistent.

Today's second phrasal verb for routines isto turn in.

Meaning: to go to bed at the end of the day.

Example: I usually turn in at around 10:00PM.

Do you work out every day, or almost every day? And what time do you go to bed, or turn in? As usual, to get some extra practice, I encourage you to write some answers to my questions on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter/X) and we will give you feedback as soon as we can.

We'll be back tomorrow with the final Daily Vitamin of the week about phrasal verbs for daily routines.

Enjoy your day
