WRITE-4: meaning and examples
Today we finish our review of expressions with the word WRITE. Today we look at a very common phrasal verb with WRITE.
Today's expression is: to write back (to someone)
Meaning: to write someone a letter replying to their letter.
Example 1:
She sent me a letter asking if I was still interested in buying the company. The truth is that I never wrote back. I guess I should, but I'm no longer interested.
Example 2:
She wrote back saying that she couldn't come to the graduation party.
