‘Z’ WORDS: ZIGGURAT
‘Z’ WORDS: ZIGGURAT: meaning and examples
Hello, everyone! I hope you're having a nice day.
Tomorrow we will begin the 2021 Alphabet game, so today is our final lesson with Z-Words. Of course, we can't resist choosing this word for today's lesson: ZIGGURAT!
Definition: A type of tower built in ancient Mesopotamia that is similar to a pyramid and has different levels leading to the top. It comes from the Assyrian ziqquratu, which means "height, pinnacle." (Pinnacle means "the highest or most successful point.")
We chose this as the symbol of our company because a Ziggurat symbolizes the pinnacle––the highest point you can reach. It inspires us to keep reaching, learning, and growing, step-by-step. We hope the Daily Vitamin lessons inspire you to do the same as you continue your journey to improving your English.
Later today you will receive an email about the Daily Vitamin Alphabet Game. We hope you participate. It's a great way to review some of our lessons from this last year... plus, you can win some great prizes. More details to come.
As always, thank you for reading! Have a wonderful day.
