IDIOMS FOR ANNOYANCE (DRIVE SOMEONE CRAZY)

Welcome back everyone!

If you read yesterday's post, then you know that the Daily Vitamin theme of the week is Idioms for Annoyance.

Today we are looking at TO DRIVE SOMEONE CRAZY.

Definition: to make someone really annoyed. 

Example 1: This song drives me crazy. Please turn it off. 

Example 2: It drives me crazy when my internet doesn't work at home.

In British English, we often say TO DRIVE SOMEONE MAD

Example 3: His little brother is driving him mad

Tomorrow is a bank holiday (All Saints' Day), so we will see you on Thursday, November 2nd, for another DV.

IDIOMS FOR ANNOYANCE (PET PEEVE)

LISTEN TO THE DAILY VITAMIN HERE:

Good morning to you all! Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a new theme this week. We are focusing on Idioms for Annoyance.

Today we are looking at the expression PET PEEVE

Definition: something a person finds annoying. 

Example 1: My movie-theatre pet peeve is when people talk during the film. 

Example 2: I hate it when people stand on the left side when I'm trying to walk up the escalator. It's a big pet peeve of mine. 

Example 3: Having to watch someone chew with their mouth open is a common pet peeve of many people.
